Extension permissions

To function, the UNYX extension requests a limited number of permissions from your browser. We explain them here in full transparency: each serves a specific use and UNYX is designed to process only what is necessary, with your control.

The extension opens a side panel that hosts the assistant's interface. It is from this panel that you chat with UNYX and launch actions, without changing tab.

UNYX can read the content of the page you are viewing only when you request it (for example to summarise, translate or answer a question about the page). The content is not read in the background or continuously: reading is triggered by your action and limited to the active tab.

The extension uses your browser's local storage to keep your session (login, preferences, assistant state) so as to spare you from reconfiguring everything on each visit. This data remains on your device and serves the proper operation of the extension.

To carry out certain tasks (analyse an element of the page, fill in a field, trigger a useful action), UNYX can run a script in the current page. These actions that modify the page are only carried out after your confirmation: UNYX does not take the initiative to act on your behalf without agreement.

On sensitive sites — in particular banking, payment and health — automatic page analysis is disabled by default. UNYX does not read the content there without an explicit request on your part, in order to protect your most confidential information. In general, UNYX never exposes an AI key in the browser and you can export or delete your data at any time.
